Weekend getaway to San Pancho

This weekend has been pretty buissy in Sayulita, Mexico have celebrated their independenceday (their national day) and it has been raging partys in town all weekend. It is actually low season here at the moment, but this weekend the place has been packed. Because of that we decided to escape to a small town 8 minutes from Sayulita, called San Fransisco or San Pancho. San Pancho has a much chiller vibe, and even though we knew it was supposed to be awsome over there, it was even better than expected. All about the vibe you know. We actually realized that we might need to switch town. We were planning to stay only for the day, but didn't feel like going back to Sayulita so we decided to get a room for the night and just hang out. A funny guy named Walter hooked us with some bunkbeds and we were all set.

Sunset in San Pancho

Sunset in San Pancho

Surf in San Pancho is way more advanced than Sayulita, wich meens people are more serious about surf and less interested in partying. We feel that there is just a little to much partying in Sayulita. We are going back to spend more time in San Pancho and then figure out what to do.  We were actually lucky with our timing, usually surf is pretty advanced in San Pancho, huge waves, but this weekend it was pretty small and perfect for us to practice. Some local surfers hooked us with boards and took us out, gave us lots of advice. Maybe San Pancho is the the key to be better at surf. Heading back today for a full day of surf and a sunset, before a big swell comes in next week. Can't wait!

Cute little cafe and shop in San Pancho that I completely fell in love with.
