Against all odds we got tickets to Tame Impala at the Greek theater in Berkley on Friday! Amazing show, and a great start to a great weekend.
Two weeks in California wthout checking out the surf fascilitys would have been a shame. Santa cruz is ia cute little beach-town with a cool vibe. Totally worth a visit. We were planning on camping there to get a couple of days on the beach. I suggest to book a place to sleep in advance if you want to stay. We couldn't even find a place to put our tent up.
Not the best surf we have ever had, but still felt great to be in the water again.
We had dinner at "The reef", hawaiian restaurant with cheap food and a good vibe. Also a pretty good band. I would definitly recomend a meal at this place if you are in Santa Cruz.
New consept in San Fransisco, a local brewery opened this chill place to hang out on weekends. Laid back atmosphere with a beach vibe. Cool spot to hang out on a sunny day.
The Farmers market
Farmers markets is from what I have heard pretty good all over California. This is from the local one, close to where I stay in San Fransisco. What better place to go shopping for a good sunday breakfast?
A visit to the wine country has been pretty high up on my California bucket list. On monday we visited this gorgeous little winery called "Scribe". We had reserved a picnic blanket and bought a picnic basket and chilled out in the sun for hours. This place is a little hard to get in to, you have to reserve early or be a member, but there is plenty of other options in the area, only an hour drive from San Fransisco.
